Available Heat Treatment

Hot work temperature: (1) Start:1040 °C -1150°C (2) End: 930 °C

Annealing temperature: 820 °C – 870 °C

Hardness after annealing HBW: 212-241

Quenching temperature: 1190 °C -1230 °C

Cooling medium: oil, air cooling/ salt bath

Tempering temperature: 540 °C – 600 °C

Hardness after tempering HRC: 65-60

Characteristics

1. High wear resistance.

2. High toughness combined with good cutting powers

3. After heat treatment, its hardness is the same as T1, but its bending strength can reach 4700 MPa, and its toughness and thermo-plasticity are higher than T1 by 50%.
